ABOUT
TANK
Bowser trailers are supplied using a new composite tank purpose built for HM Trailers. Prices are available on request dependent on your requirement. Capacities and separate mix up compartments are built to suit. The tanks are oval in shape in order to reduce the centre of gravity. Baffles are fitted to reduce movement of liquid when travelling. Where possible ex milk, or new stainless tanks can be used as an alternative. Capacities vary.
CHASSIS
The chassis is purpose built around the tank in order to reduce the overall height and lowering the centre of gravity. The chassis is made from a 355 grade Rectangular Hollow Section, which is then used for pipe storage, accessible from the rear of the trailer.
RUNNING GEAR
All trailers have sprung suspension to provide a cushion between rough terrain and the trailer. A stiffer suspension is provided as standard, due to the lively nature of tanks. All trailers have suitable under-body, chassis and wheel-to-wheel clearance for flotation tyres. They are built on high speed 420x180 braked commercial axles.
CHEMICAL STORAGE
The area around the tank and either side of the wheels offers space for storage lockers with a combined capacity of 1000 litres. Lockers are fitted with stainless steel, handles and gas struts. Over wheel areas can be used for fuel storage if necessary.
PUMPS
Various sizes and types are available. Fitment depends on personal choice, either bolted to the floor at the rear of the trailer or mounted inside the storage boxes. A changeover pipe is used to switch between tank filling or emptying. A manifold system is available which is more appropriate for liquid fertiliser, to switch between filling and emptying.

4 sizes are available (largest most commonly used) They can come with pumps pre mounted onto the unit ready for to be fitted.
